Sarah is a communications and marketing professional specializing in scientific communications, media relations, brand development, social media management, and graphic and web design. Following her graduation from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Hussman School of Journalism and Media, she began her career in the biotechnology sector, focusing on improving infant health through human milk biomanufacturing and innovative technologies. Sarah is deeply passionate about infant and maternal health, the intricacies of human milk, and leveraging cutting-edge technology and research to progress human health. Sarah is committed to building a world without NEC and believes that the NEC Society’s balance of prioritizing a patient-centered design with the development of strong scientific research will truly progress us towards better prevention and treatment of this devastating disease.
