When my daughter Gali developed NEC at six days old as a 29-week-old preemie, I had never heard of this devastating disease. After Gali tragically succumbed to NEC after only 15 days of life, I knew I wanted to contribute as much as I could to helping other families avoid the same fate and advancing all of the NEC Society’s inspiring work, especially the critical research around NEC and how to prevent it.
