My twin sons were affected by necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) during their time in the NICU, and the lifelong impact of this disease on children and families drives my dedication to the NEC Society and the Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC). I believe that by creating a supportive community of families affected by NEC and partnering with caring clinicians and experts, we can collaborate to discover effective preventive interventions and build a world without NEC.
